Life Sports Foundation: help someone else take part

A starting line should feel possible. A pair of running shoes, specialized equipment, or help with participation can make it easier for someone to experience sport.

Life Sports Foundation helps people of different abilities who face physical or situational challenges enrich their lives through sports. Its work includes running-shoe support, specialized equipment, training and competition support, and opportunities to participate in endurance events.

At CVC San Diego Triathlon, you can help extend the opportunities that make sport meaningful: movement, connection and a challenge to work toward.

Make an optional donation. Give an amount that works for you through the CVC donation page. Gifts of any size are appreciated.

Donate to Life Sports Foundation through CVC

Create a personal fundraiser. During CVC registration, choose to fundraise for Life Sports Foundation. Add a photo and a few sentences about why you care, then invite friends and family to give through your own page. Your welcome email includes an easy action plan and personal links. Editable email templates help with your first ask, progress updates and thank-yous.

CVC 2027 fundraising questions

Do I have to donate or fundraise?
No. Both are optional. You can register and participate without either. The suggested $600 fundraising goal is editable and is not a required minimum.

How do I get started?
Create your fundraiser during CVC registration. New CVC fundraisers currently require a race registration. If you already have a page, use My Fundraising to manage it. Share your personal page so gifts are credited to your fundraiser.

How does the optional entry-fee refund work?
Register and pay for your entry as usual. If you choose the fundraising refund option and raise $600 for Life Sports Foundation, you may qualify for a refund of your eligible CVC entry fee, up to the configured cap for your event. Add-ons are excluded. This is a refund opportunity, not free entry upfront. Do not assume team totals, other events or outside fundraising platforms automatically qualify.

What if I do not reach my goal?
Your fundraising goal is optional. There is no required fundraising minimum for these CVC entries. Your paid registration remains separate from the optional refund opportunity, and we appreciate whatever support you choose to offer.

Can an employer match a donation?
Donors can check the employer-matching lookup on the CVC donation page or ask their HR team. Eligibility and matching amounts depend on the employer's program.
